Clean up the Home

Prepare Yourself
As the moving date draws closers, finish up all packing and be sure to have a box packed with all of the essentials. This will keep these items handy and allow for easy access. Make sure to include toiletries, snacks, and spare clothing. Some other things to consider to bring:

Organization
Organization is key in making the process of relocating to a new Northpole or Fairbanks, Alaska home as stress-free and painless as possible. It’s very easy to get overwhelmed and swamped by the whole relocation process, so staying organized from the beginning of the moving process is important. Keep all legal documents in an organized file, sort rooms by boxes, and properly label boxes and bags with its contents.

Get to Know Your New Neighborhood and Community
Before you move, it’s a good idea to have an understanding of the community that you are moving into. There are many expenses tied to moving, so make sure that you have planned your budget accordingly. Remember to include some wiggle room for emergencies as well!

Tie Up Any Loose Ends You Have
Remember to cancel or transfer any of the services you have in your current community. There are many here so start thinking a few months ahead of time so you have ample time to sort everything out.

Update Mailing Address
When you receive your new address, but sure to file a change of address. Contact your friends, family members, and businesses that you are tied to with information regarding your change of address as soon as possible.

Make a Reservation For a Moving Truck
Do this a few weeks ahead of time to insure that you  have an adequately sized moving truck available for when you need it!
